It is time to eat now. Malaysia is rich with its local foods. There are numerous of local food that you should try. For me, if you came to Malaysia and eat at the five star hotel without trying the local foods. There is no point for you to have vacation here. Go out and try the local foods especially the hawker. Some of them serve the best food in town but make sure they are clean.
When I went to Langkawi, there is a very huge and beautiful restaurant near to my hotel. Then I took a cab to Kuah for some shopping, the taxi driver was very friendly he told us where we should go for shopping plus he told us where is the best restaurant in Langkawi. He also told us that the huge and beautiful restaurant is very expensive and the food are not tasty. After some arrangement he agree to take us to his recommend restaurant.
At 8.00 p.m he pick up us at hotel lobby. He took us to the Kampung Nelayan Restaurant located in Kuah. However this restaurant is very hard find. For you information this restaurant was featured in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan( a famous culinary television how). So no wonder there are no table available for us. We have to wait about 10 minutes to get a table but it worth to wait. All the seafood are very fresh and the most important part is cheap.
After about an hour later, the taxi driver came to send us back to the hotel room. We bought some foods for the taxi driver as a symbol of thank you. The food was so good and it makes me forget about my high blood pressure. I think I should take a good care of my health after this.

Langkawi has 99 islands when the tide is up, then the tide recedes to reveal five more of the most fascinating atolls. Most of the islands are uninhabited and a popular activity for many people is to pick an island and spend a day in the lovely idyllic beaches. Explore the island, having a picnic or pretending to dig up treasures hidden by the legendary pirates, without any human intrusions. You can welcome plenty of wildlife though with monitor lizards and bright jewel colored birds popping in to say hello. Lie back and watch the majestic eagles riding the air currents in the clear blue sky. Alone or with company of your choice, this is a splendid way to have a day off.
Langkawi lives up to all its cliches - beautiful turquoise seas dotted with islands of emerald green and limestone outcrops standing guard over the magnificence. It also has bright green paddy fields and some lush jungles. Time stands still and loses all meaning in this tropical paradise.
If you want to get away from the bounties of Nature, enjoy a dizzying cable car ride! This ride is in two parts, takes you up the steep side to Gunung Mat Cincang, the highest point on the island. There are spectacular views and on a day when visibility is good, you can have a bird's eye view of Thailand. At the bottom is Oriental village where you can buy souvenirs and handicrafts.
Langkawi hotels accommodation consists mostly of lovely resorts near the beaches. There are smaller and cheaper hotels in the business centre - Kuah and around the vibrant and active Pentai Cenang beach. Book your accommodation through Excitehotels and get yourself a great deal with up to 75 percent discounts.
Langkawi is a child's paradise with naturally fun beach activities such as building sandcastles, chasing mud crabs, counting the eagles or attempting to tickle a fish out of water. Keep an eye out and you might spot a dolphin or two in the distance. These gorgeous friendly creatures abound in the Andaman Islands.
Langkawi boasts of some excellent hotels so foodies can gorge themselves on delicious meals especially seafood. Massages are offered by both the resorts and individual masseurs so be sure and indulge yourself in a long decadent massage. Before leaving, take advantage of its duty free status and do some shopping.

Another Halloween is approaching and what a better way to celebrate than to stay in a haunted hotel! If you live or are visiting Arizona over this Pagan holiday, there are plenty of opportunities to find yourself a ghost, Zoiks Scoob! So get your digital voice recorders, EMF detectors, night vision cameras and an extra pair of underwear ready for some ghost hunting.
San Carlos Hotel
The first place most Arizona visitors go is to Phoenix - the capital and 5th biggest city in the US. Be sure to stay the night at the San Carlos Hotel where modern day and ancient spirits are said to make themselves known. The hotel has been in continuous operation since 1928 and less than 2 months after the hotel opened, the Arizona Republican (now the Arizona Republic - or "Repulsive" depending on the day), 22 year old Leone Jenson jumped to her death. It was rumored that Jenson was abused by her boyfriend and/or he was having an affair with another woman. While most evidence does point to suicide, some speculate that she may have been murdered by her boyfriend or the other woman. Her ghost appears as a white, cloudy figure accompanied by an eerie moaning noise. Mwuhahahaha!
Hotel Vendome
If you are looking for a place with a variety of haunted places to visit, go to Prescott, AZ. Prescott was the first and third territorial capital of the Arizona territory before Phoenix became its capital in 1889. Prescott has held on to its history and can be seen in the restored Victorian homes and the courthouse in the center of town.
Room 16 of the Hotel Vendome is reportedly haunted by the ghost of Abby Byr and her cat, Noble. In 1920, Abby and her husband - name unknown - had owned the hotel but had to sell out after falling on hard times. The new owners allowed the couple and their cat to remain at the hotel - in Room 16. Abby suffered from Tuberculosis and as her disease became much worse, she was less able to take care of herself. In 1921, her husband left to get cigarettes or medicine and never returned. Her illness and depression made her bedridden, unwilling to accept medicine or food. In February of 1921, the 33 year old Abby died, with Noble soon after.
People staying in room 16 have seen, heard and smelled Abby. Guests have reported seeing Abby's wispy reflection in the closet mirror while others claim to see her in full detail. Guests have also reported moving quilts and smells of perfume and roses.
However, history does not support the existence of Abby but there is a history of others having lived in the hotel and on the land before the Hotel Vendome was erected. Abby; therefor, is not the only apparition seen on the property as guests have reported seeing children and a man on the premises, as well as odd occurrences such as spinning DO NOT DISTURB SIGNS, and faucets, lights and fans turning on and off.
The Clawson House Inn
Bisbee, Arizona is another town in Arizona with numerous haunted locations. Founded in 1880 as a copper, gold and silver mining town, Bisbee now has a population of just over 6,000 and a healthy population of ghosts as well.
The Clawson House Inn is own of many haunted spots and carries with it the mining history of the town. The inn was built in 1895 by Mr. Clawson, a mine manager used as a residence and later a boarding house for mine employees. In the late 1890's, a labor dispute broke out at the Queen Mine southwest of town and the miners went on strike. While the striking miners were arrested and moved out of town, replacement workers moved in and took over the vacant jobs. Three of the workers found boarding and demise in the Clawson House Inn. It is rumored that several of the striking miners came back to town and murdered three of the new workers within the walls of the house. They are said to still haunt the inn today and they are not Casper!
Jerome Grand Hotel
Like Bisbee, Jerome, AZ was also a mining town. Established in 1883, Jerome once had a population of over 15,000 people (now over 350) and housed the workers of the nearby United Verde Mine which produced over 1 billion dollars in copper, gold and silver until the 1950s. During its heyday, Jerome was a hotbed of prostitution and gambling, giving it the label of "the wickedest town in the west" in 1903 by the New York Sun.
The Jerome Grand Hotel started as the United Verde Hospital in 1927 to treat sick and injured miners. The many patients brought to this 30,000 square foot building died there either from mining injuries, during childbirth, from their mental illness or by accident. One man was killed in 1935 when he was crushed beneath the hospital elevator. When the mines dried up, the hospital was closed in 1950, sitting vacant for 44 years until it was purchased and remodeled as a hotel to accommodate the many visitors to one of Arizona's great tourist attractions.
The ghosts at the hotel manifest themselves through apparitions, sounds, and movement. Before the hotel was purchased in 1994, lights were reported to turn on and off while there was no electricity to the building. Passersby would hear screaming, moans and labored breathing. Today, guests and employees of the hotel report to see the ghosts of a nurse and a patient. They also report of evidence that the ghost of the man killed under the elevator roams the area, lights turning on and off in unoccupied rooms, the smell of cigars and the moans and screams of past patients.
This is just a few of the many haunted hotels you can find in Arizona. But is you decide to stay in one, just remember, you may have a bed for the night, but don't expect to get much sleep! Besides, it is probably just old Mr. Withers trying to scare you nosy kids.

There was a long holidays (4 days included weekend) in conjunction of Malay's New Year. I'm with my friend decide travel to this island for an outing.
There was a sunny Monday morning. We depart at 10am from Titiwangsa monorail station to KL Sentral. Then transit with KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) from KL Sentral to Port Klang. The train journal took us 1½ hours.
Once we have arrived the ferry jetty, a few hundreds of people queuing waiting the express boat to Crab Island under a hot noon sun. Felt lucky I did bring umbrella. A windy condition at that time makes us felt comfortable. We're waiting for 45 minutes to get boarded and the journey to Crab Island took 45 minutes. Finally we reached the island at 2:05pm.
We don't expect a lot people will visit to this island but it is not. Thousands of visitor has make the tiny street became clouded. There are numbers of Sea Food Restaurant in this island. Every restaurants full of hunger and exhausted enjoying nice sea foods. We can't even have chance to seat down. 30 minutes later, we managed found a table and seat down at Restaurant Seafood Pin Heong. We are waiting for 20 minutes with no one serving us. Table still dirty and full of previous customers empty plate, crab bones, rubbish. End up we moved away to another restaurant named Restaurant Jin He.
We make an order of Sweet & Sour Crab, Butter Prawn, Bamboo Shell and Vegetable. 30 minutes of waiting and 1 hour of eating. Because this is a day trip, we have less time to explore around by foot. We then decide to rent a bicycle zooming around the village. The only transportation in Crab Island is bicycle. There were no motorcycles and no cars.
Very fun riding a bicycle in a narrow pathway. We have visit to the temples, schools, ship build yard and villages house.
During the riding, there was an accident happen to me. I was fall down from bicycle due to avoiding impact with another bicycle from junction. Somehow I press the front brake instead of back brake while holding my digital camera on my right hand. Worst is I didn't realize left handbrake is for front wheel brake and right handbrake is for back wheel brake. End up injured on my left knee and my right hand finger. Sigh!
I'm still okay with minor injured but... Oh no!!! My digital camera was hardly knock the floor surface while I still holding it in my right hand. There was a scratch on my lens. My camera was auto turning off because of the impact. Restarting my camera and luckily still functioning. We then continue explored the village before the last boat departing from the island at 6pm.
5:50pm we boarded a big wooden boat operate by locals, took us 1 hour from Crab Island return to Port Klang. And then we boarded the express train at 7:10pm from Port Klang to KL Sentral.
